The project funded by the EU, CiNURGi, aims to support the creation and development of a circular economy for nutrients. The focus is on improving existing infrastructures and technologies to maximize nutrient recovery from biomass and resource streams originating from agriculture, municipalities, and industry. More efficient use of nutrients and recycled fertilizer products could pave the way for climate-neutral food production, enhance supply security in the Baltic Sea region, and reduce the eutrophication of the Baltic Sea.
