An engineering company from Gdynia
Rendben combines research and development, equipment construction and trade in specialised equipment. We make things you cannot buy off the shelf, and we check that they work.
Who we are
We are a prototyping workshop and an engineering company. We design and build research equipment, laboratory, pilot-scale and demonstration plants, custom structures and research sites. We also supply specialised equipment such as compressors for hydrogen and technical gases.
We work mainly for universities and research institutes, for industry and in international projects. Some of our work is done on our own account: research projects, an implementation doctorate and scientific publications.
Our motto, “anything you can’t get off the shelf, you can get from us”, comes from everyday orders: equipment that is not in any catalogue because nobody has run exactly that experiment before.
Our own facilities
Workshop and equipment
A workshop where prototypes and pressure equipment are built, including successive generations of a reactor for biomass treatment by rapid decompression.
Research greenhouse
A pot trial facility in Gdynia with automatic irrigation, used among others by the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
Pilot line
A line for producing fertiliser from waste, built in the CiNURGi project: gravimetric dosing, mixing, pelletising and drying in a rotary tube dryer.
Research cooperation
Our long-standing research partner is the Institute of Fluid-Flow Machinery of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IMP PAN) in Gdańsk. We work together on CiNURGi, BIOREMOIL, BALTWRECK and NURSECOAST-II, under a cooperation agreement for the research greenhouse, on the implementation doctorate and on joint publications.
For Gdańsk University of Technology we built practically the whole DME demonstration plant under the INGA programme and the ECONUT research site, and we are an expert in the SBEES project.
Memberships
Since 1 August 2025 we have been a member of the Circular Economy and Recycling Cluster (Klaster Gospodarki Cyrkularnej i Recyklingu), which holds the status of a Polish National Key Cluster. The cluster brings together companies and institutions working in the circular economy and recycling. This matches what we do every day: recovering nutrients from waste, bioremediation and making use of biomass. More about our cluster membership.
